Yesterday, outflow winds from the storms in the area impacted the fire with gusty, erratic winds. All lines held overnight and the fire received light precipitation.
Planned actions for today are to continue to have dozer crews construct and improve containment lines. Engine crews will patrol and mop up along containment lines, focusing on hot spots. Aerial resources will be utilized when available to assist with fire suppression and containment line construction.
Fire Weather: Expect light and variable winds through mid morning, with light northeast winds for the rest of the day. There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values will be near 30 percent this afternoon, with decent recoveries tonight. High temperatures are expected to reach 97 degrees. Dry and hot weather will prevail on Tuesday, with northeast winds around 10 mph and minimum humidity values around 20 percent.

Fire behavior has been very active and has high growth potential. Dozer crews continue to construct containment lines. Engine crews continue to patrol and mop up along containment lines, focusing on hot spots. Aerial resources have been critical for assisting with fire suppression.
Fire Weather: Winds are variable across the area this afternoon, but are expected to be primarily from the southeast or east-southeast at 5-10 mph. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible through the rest of this afternoon and evening. Localized erratic and strong, gusty winds are possible in and near some of the storms. Although the coverage of storms will be low, brief heavy rain is possible. Relative humidity values are near or just above 20 percent, and should drop just below 20 percent by 5 PM. Relative humidity will climb later this evening as temperatures drop, and will be above 30 percent by 10 PM.

Dozer crews have returned to the fire to continue to construct and improve containment lines. Engines have returned to patrol and mop up any hotspots close to the fire perimeter.
Fire Weather: Showers and thunderstorms are moving south of the fire site. Highs today will be in the mid 90s. Expect minimum relative humidity values late this afternoon around 27 percent, with values slowly increasing through the evening hours. Winds today will be from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph, with some higher gusts. Similar condition are expected on Sunday with minimum relative values near 26 percent and high temperatures in the mid 90s. Winds will be from the east to southeast at 5 to 10 mph, with higher gusts.
