Northwest Team 6 is managing five fires in the area. In addition to the two fires listed in this update NW Team 6 is managing the Brice, Dinner, and Grizzly Fires further north on the Umpqua National Forest.

Northwest Team 6 is managing five fires in the area. In addition to the two fires listed in this update NW Team 6 is managing the Brice, Dinner, and Grizzly Fires further north on the Umpqua National Forest. A reconnaissance flight was done over all the fires yesterday to gain intel on where fire activity may have increased. There were some more active spots found, but overall fires have not grown significantly.

Northwest Team 6 will carry forward the work done by Team 12 and continue with strategic management of the five fires in the area. In addition to the two fires listed in this update NW Team 6 is managing the Brice Creek, Dinner, and Grizzly Fires further north on the Umpqua National Forest.

The Chilcoot Fire is currently 1,769 acres with 40% containment. The Ridge Fire is currently 219 acres with 95% containment.
Northwest Team 12 will transfer command of the Umpqua Fires to Northwest Team 6 at 8 PM tonight – this includes the three Branch I fires near Cottage Grove and the Chilcoot and Ridge Fires on Branch II.
