Happy Camp Complex Daily Update September 23, 2023

 Wednesday, September 20, 2023WEATHER: Cooler and drier conditions are expected through today. Tomorrow, humidities will begin to increase with higher moisture levels into next week.  Winds will be out of the northeast through Thursday as breezy winds peak today. 

Saturday, September 16, 2023 WEATHER: Hot and dry conditions will persist today, with slightly lower temperatures than yesterday. A slow cooling and moistening trend will begin tomorrow as northwest winds develop through the afternoon. There is a slight chance (20%) of afternoon thunderstorms both today and tomorrow.

Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions remain in place to help minimize the chances of human-caused wildland fires. These restrictions prohibit campfires outside of established recreation and wilderness areas. https://bit.ly/KlamathNFAlertsNoticesTemporary Flight Restriction (TFR): There is a flight restriction over the fire area and drones are also prohibited.

Friday, September 15, 2023 WEATHER: Hot and dry conditions persist today, with high temperatures slightly warmer than yesterday. A slow cooling and moistening trend will begin tomorrow as northwest winds develop through the afternoon. There is a slight chance (15%) of afternoon thunderstorms both tomorrow and Sunday.

Happy Camp Complex Daily Update WEATHER: A warming and drying trend will continue today through Friday, increasing fire behavior. Today, morning winds will be more easterly before shifting to the north during the afternoon hours. This daily wind pattern will persist through Saturday as wind speeds stay low.
