 Crews returned on Sunday to improve lines and mopped up.  There was a great recovery on Saturday night with dense fog in the region on Sunday morning.  Increased containment to 100% by Sunday afternoon.

Fire is doing well after receiving precipitation this morning. Containment bumped to 90%. Crews will return Sunday (2/7/21) to recheck fire.

Fire remains at 80% containment. Crews have moved off the line, and are working to free up ingress and egress routes that were temporarily obstructed during operations. Crews will return tomorrow to complete containment, mop-up, and map the fire perimeter.

Location: Clay County, Approx. 3 miles south of Petrolia

Status:
Acreage: 423 acres
Containment: 100%

Texas A&M Forest Service resources have reached a 100% containment and mapped the are for a total of 423 acres. Fire control date Sunday 31, Jan 2021 at 1900 hrs.

7D County Line Fire Update: January 25th, 6:15 PM

Location: Tom Green County, Approx. 21 miles south of Sterling City

Current Situation
Acreage: 360 acres
Containment: 85%

The fire is still actively burning in grass fuels within containment lines and occasionally torching in juniper. Containment lines have been successfully completed by heavy equipment and fire engines. Bull dozers are currently cleaning up containment line on their way back towards staging and fire engines are mopping up along containment lines. 

Local resources on scene today included 8 local fire department engines, 2 privately owned pieces of heavy equipment, and 1 county water tender. Texas A&M Forest Service resources on scene today included  3 pieces of heavy equipment, 2 fire engines, and overhead personnel.

Crews will continue to monitor fire activity overnight.

Size: 253 acres mapped by GPS
Contaiment: 100%

Texas A&M Forest Service resources have reached a 100% containment and mapped it for a total of 253 acres. There was structure saved by local reponders. Fire control date as Tuesday 16 Jan 21 at 1700 hrs.

Today Texas A&M Forest Service dozers completed line in area of concern. Fire activity increased in leaf litter, all interior. Dozers will continue to improve rest of the lines and monitor fire activity,

Location: 4 miles west of Montague in Montague County.
 
Texas A&M Forest Service dozers have nearly completed dozer line around the head of the fire. Forward progression has been stopped.
