The Holcombe Road incident has transitioned to a type 3 incident. The fire is now being managed by the Lone Star State Type 3 IMT in unified command with Crockett and Val Verde Counties.

Fire containment is 5%, 17,280 acres. Active fire behavior is observed and will continue throughout the day with long range spotting expected. Potential for growth is very high. Currently, 6 occupied residences and 50 outbuildings are threatened. Other threats include oil and gas infrastructure.
As of 0900 this morning, 1 RV and 3 outbuildings were reported as lost.
Additional resources continue to arrive to assist with the fire. There are currently 50 firefighters, 7 dozers, 24 engines and 2 air tankers.

Fire containment is 5%, 10,000 acres. Fire behavior has been extreme throughout the day with spotting on ridgelines out to 300-400 yards. Multiple structures threatened but crews are making good progress on point protection around the structures. There have been 3 direct saves on structures.
Overnight forecast of low relative humidity recovery and terrain influenced wind is expected to keep fire behavior active tonight.
Potential growth for tomorrow is high and extreme fire behavior is expected.
Additional resources are being ordered to assist with containing the fire.

Fire containment is 5%, 5,000 acres. Fire behavior is extreme with 30 ft flame lengths in juniper. The potential for growth remains very high. Several structures and homes scattered throughout the area are being monitored.

Fire containment 5%, 2,000 acres. Fire behavior is extreme, burning in rough terrain with single tree torching in juniper and short range spotting. Current weather is 92 degrees, 8% relative humidity, and SW winds 4mph gusting to 9mph
An occupied residence located approximately 1.5 miles from the fire is currently threatened. Resources are positioned for structure protection.
Current resources on the fire include 27 firefighters, 3 dozers, and 15 engines from TFS, 4 Val Verde engines with a command unit, 1 Crockett County engine with a command unit, 1 ASM, and 1 large air tanker.
Additional resources being requested include 1 heavy air tanker and 2 private water tenders.
