Arrowhead Fire Update: December 10, 2130 hours
Location: approximately 1 mile west of Petrolia, heading towards Henrietta
Acreage: estimated 7500 acres
Containment: 15%
Cause: debris burning

Crews are currently working to contain the fire in Clay County. Multiple dozers and motograders are actively engaged in constructing containment line around the fire. Forward progression has not been stopped yet but significant progress has been made to slow the fire down. Due to extreme fire behavior, multiple structures have been threatened and two structures have been lost.

Fire Weather: Strong southwest winds will continue and shift slowly to the west toward and after 6pm. Overall gusts will come down and there will be some relative humidity (RH) and temperature recovery toward and after sunset, but the gusty southwest winds will still make fires difficult to control. A strong cold front is expected to approach the fire area around 9pm shifting the winds to the north/northwest with gusts 30 to 40 mph likely. Temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s and RH values will quickly rise into the 40-50 percent range. Northerly winds will continue tomorrow with an overall decrease through the day.
