Lowell, Ore. – The Bedrock Fire continued to spread yesterday, with much of the growth in the Hehe and Andy creek drainages, and along Fall Creek toward the east. The fire progressed slower where there is less fuel, including in the 2021 Gales Fire perimeter.  Similar growth and fire activity is expected today.

Bedrock Fire update for Friday, July 28, 2023 Lowell, Ore. – The Bedrock Fire continued to burn actively yesterday after the inversion lifted. Much of the growth was to the north in the Hehe Creek drainage and to the south near Andy Creek. Similar growth is expected today. Fire progression is largely driven by topography, with flames spreading uphill within steep drainages. Unusually dry fuels are contributing to the fire’s growth.

Bedrock Fire update for Wednesday, July 26, 2023 Lowell, Ore. – The Bedrock Fire continues to burn actively in the Fall Creek drainage. Most fire spread has been to the east and north, but a flare-up along the southwest edge of the fire created a small plume of smoke Tuesday afternoon.
Bedrock Fire update for Tuesday, July 25, 2023 Lowell, Ore. – Northwest Incident Management Team 13 assumed management responsibilities for the Bedrock Fire at 6:00 a.m. Additional firefighting resources are arriving to assist with fire suppression and support activities.
