Trout Fire: Interior islands burned through the night with low to moderate intensity. The southern flank in the area of the Pinnacles saw moderate fire behavior with short range spotting. Crews will continue direct line construction along the eastern and southern flanks of the fire where terrain permits. Crews will be utilized to improve the trail from the termination of Mosquito Meadow Rd to Big Meadow and the adjacent ridge to the west, enhancing protection to the community of Horse Meadow.
FireYesterday, interior fuels consumed on the Trout fire and the Borel Fire was active, mostly on the eastern edge, in the south fork of Erskine creek. The Borel fire has not moved significantly up the eastern side of Erskine creek. Expected fire behavior on the Borel includes possible crown fire runs and spotting. Smoke
