**Update** Road Closures as of 7/28/2023 12:00p

The changes in the road closures reflect the improved containment of the Newell Road Fire.

Bickleton Hwy: Open but will have signs to indicate there is equipment still along the roadway in areas for the fire equipment. EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE USED FOR TRUCKS, DOZERS AND OTHER FIRE EQUIPMENT!

Newell Road: Closed from the East @ Dot Road and West @ Rock Creek. This is not a manned closure and we expect people to obey the road closed signs. If you do not belong in that area stay out!

Hoctor Road and Rock Creek are fully open.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE FIRE IS STILL GOING TO PRODUCE SMOKE AT TIMES. THERE ARE FIRE CREWS WORKING THE AREA.

THE KLICKITAT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS ASKING EVERYONE TO BE MINDFUL OF THE SERIOUS THREAT OF FIRE DUE TO THE EXTREMELY DRY CONDITIONS.
