The USDA-San Juan National Forest has postponed the scheduled prescription burn set to start today, September 19, 2023, on the Mill Creek Unit in the Pagosa Ranger District. #SJNF will look at future opportunities to initiate the Mill Creek prescribed burning operation when weather conditions are more favorable, which could happen as early as tomorrow. Resources will monitor weather conditions and look for the best opportunity to start prescribed burning ignitions.
