Forsythe II Update 04-07-2023
Forsythe II Prescribed Burn

Ignitions began at approximately 2:00 p.m. today, April 17, on Forsythe II. Today’s ignitions are focused on interior clean up burning. Crews treated 180 acres yesterday for a total of 300 acres since the start of this prescribed burn earlier this month. Today we’ll go back through that area and treat pockets that didn’t burn to standards. This practice helps us secure the treated area so that no large untreated pockets can intensify wildfire.
Warmer weather arrives tomorrow, with red flag conditions possible south of the prescribed burn. This interior clean up work will ensure the area is secure in time for that weather.
