Forsythe II Prescribed Burn

Firefighters have conducted a test fire and determined that conditions are clear to allow ignitions to continue as planned today, Monday April 15, for the Forsythe II Prescribed burn area. Smoke may be visible in the area as well as along the Front Range in areas proximate to Gross Reservoir.
Fire managers work closely with experts to minimize the impacts of smoke. Air quality is carefully monitored before and during a prescribed fire and all prescribed burns comply with state air quality regulations to minimize impacts to communities.
