The fire is holding at Devil’s Gulch, crews continue their efforts to strengthen control lines. There was no growth on the fire overnight. Crews are patrolling and working in areas where smoldering and some interior pockets of heat were observed, within the fire perimeter. The fire is holding within control lines. Suppression repair efforts have begun. Cooler temperatures and higher humidity are expected to continue. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Damage inspections are nearly complete.
REMINDER: Mariposa County is hosting a Local Assistance Center (LAC) for ANY community member who has been directly impacted by the Oak Fire. This includes those who are/were evacuated, have/had power outages and those whose homes or properties were damaged or destroyed. See below for more information.

All other waste will not be accepted at this location. The Mariposa County Landfill will be open usual hours for additional items and can accept spoiled food waste on site at no cost. Please call the Health and Human Services Agency for further assistance or services at (209) 966-2000.
