A large airtanker reinforces retardant lines on Blue Lake Fire. This photo looks East toward Liberty Bell and Early Winters Spire with Silver Star Mountain in the background and Highway 20 to the North. 

A scooper plane drops hundreds of gallons of water to slow fire progression and support ground resources on the Blue Lake Fire. 

A stock bridge constructed in 2019 was wrapped in aluminized fire-resistant material on August 18th, 2023 in an effort to protect the resource from fire damage due to the Blue Lake Fire.
