Outflow winds preceded the rain, causing fire weakened trees to fall. Lightning also posed a risk.

Firefighters coordinated with water dropping aircraft to cool down what little heat remains, and ensure the fire perimeter is not threatened.Containment remains at 50%.

Day shifts crews are about to be briefed and daytime firefighting operations will commence soon. No structures have been destroyed. No injuries have been reported by first responders or the public.
