Cleveland National Forest fuel crews are burning piles off of Sunrise Highway near Red Tailed Roost. Smoke may be seen from Sunrise Highway, the I-8, and surrounding communities.

Fuel crews will be burning brush piles near the following fire stations on the Trabuco Ranger District: -Temescal Fire Station -Silverado Fire Station -Corona Fire Station Smoke may be seen near surrounding communities.

Prescribed Fire: Cleveland National Forest fuel crews are continuing a prescribed burn project off of Sunrise Highway near Thing Valley Road. Residents and visitors may see smoke from Sunrise Highway, the I-8, and surrounding communities. Crews will be burning piles of hazardous fuels (brush) today.

5/21/24 Fuel crews on the DRD are conducting a 115-acre broadcast burn at Cameron Fire Station today. Smoke will be seen from the I-8, and surrounding communities. Please DO NOT REPORT.This project is funded in part by the President's Inflation Reduction Act, which is part of confronting the wildfire crisis.
Palomar Ranger District Fuel Treatment 05-15-2024

5/15/24, Cleveland National Forest fuel crews on the Palomar Ranger District successfully conducted a 61-acre broadcast burn off Palomar Divide Road. For the next few days fire crews will patrol and monitored the area for any hot spots.This project funded in part by the President's Inflation Reduction Act which is a part of confronting the wildfire crisis.

Today, Cleveland NF fuel crews on the Descanso Ranger District are conducting two pile burns in the Mount Laguna area off Sunrise Hwy. Ten acres of piles west of Burnt Ranchera Campground, at the end of Mt Laguna Dr., and one acre at the Sunrise Work Center. Residents and visitors may see smoke from Sunrise Hwy, the I-8, and surrounding communities. We ask the public not to call 911 if smoke and flames are seen in these areas. This project funding in part by the President's Inflation Reduction Act which is a part of confronting the wildfire crisis.

This week fuel crews on the Trabuco Ranger District conducted a prescribed broadcast burn near the Firefighter Memorial off SR-74 Ortega Hwy, accomplishing 30 acres. The crews will continue to patrol and monitor the area. Smoke will be visible in the area for the next few days. This project is funded in part by the Presidents Inflation Reduction Act which is a part of confronting the wildfire crisis.
