The Hurricane Fire was ignited on the afternoon of August 28, when a series of lightning strikes occurred on the Olympic Peninsula. The Fire showed little to no change from yesterday. It remains at 4 acres and 95% contained. Six fire personnel are working the fire. Hurricane Ridge Road will remain open to the public.

Firefighters face challenges such as steep and rugged terrain as well as falling rocks and rolling debris. Public and firefighter safety is the highest priority on the Hurricane Fire and Eagle Point Fire.

The Obstruction Point Road will be closed to all traffic.
