Smoke may be visible from Priest Lake.
A point-protection strategy has ben utilized to protect the Salmo Lookout Tower and communications tower, meaning these structures have been wrapped and covered in retardant to protect them from flame.
The closure has been TERMINATED as of Aug 31, 2023.
A closure has been issued by the Colville National Forest (Closure Order: 06-21-35-23-04) prohibiting travel within the effected area, trails, and roads. See attached document for details/map.
