Around 3:30 p.m. on August 21, Texas A&M Forest Service received a request for assistance on a fire burning 10 miles northeast of Graham in Young County, Texas. The fire is burning in grass brush and timber fuels.
Texas A&M Forest Service has mobilized the following to assist with response efforts: fire managers and miscellaneous overhead, dozers, engine crews, and will be working in unified command with local responders.

Dozer crews will continue to construct containment line around the fire with assistance from air resources making strategic drops, and cooling the fire edge, Engine crews will follow up along the containment lines by mitigating hot spots and moping up areas of concern. Additionally, crews are working to protect structures in the area that are threatened by the fire. |

No anticipated growth. Interior pockets of unburned fuel will continue to consume as hot and dry conditions persist. Heavy equipment crews are focused on constructing dozer lines around the fire's exterior edge and engine crews are assisting with structure protection and mop-up. |
Weather Concerns | Hot and dry again today with easterly/southerly winds less than 10 mph this morning increasing to around 10-15 mph this afternoon. Occasional wind gust up to 20 mph is also possible this afternoon. High temperature will peak 105 degrees with minimum RH in the 20-25% range. |
