Around 5:30 PM on July 19, Texas A&M Forest Service received a request for assistance for a fire 6 miles South of Electra on HWY 25 in Wilbarger County. Texas A&M Forest Service crews are working in unified command with local responders.

The Beaver Creek Fire is burning in Mesquite brush mixed with grass and is exhibiting extreme fire behavior with multiple spot fires and is resistant to control.

The Beaver Creek Fire had a containment line all the way around it with 80% containment by the evening of July 19th. On the afternoon of July 20th, a slop over occurred and additional resources along with Air Attack were requested to assist with containing the fire.
