Fuels Involved | Timber (Litter and Understory) Timber (Grass and Understory) Short Grass (1 foot) Narrative: The current incident consists of Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir, and White Fir overstory with the same tree species component in the understory. East side of highway 395 has more grasses intermixed with the conifer and pine overstory. Fuels are a similar mix south and north. Fuel conditions are drying and receptive to spotting across the entire fire perimeter. North aspects remain moist with patchy consumption of fuels. 1000-hr fuels continue to be available and receptive to spotting. |
