One-Way Controlled Traffic on Hwy 178, expect delays; Highway 155 remains closed.

Update (6/3/23) - Caltrans has installed concrete barriers to prevent traffic from traveling on the damaged section of the roadway. One-way controlled traffic is being allowed on the open lane. Expect a 10-to-15 minute delay.

Mountain Home Demonstration State Forest & Balch Park Closure
Visalia – Effective immediately, there is no public access to Mountain Home Demonstration State Forest and Tulare County’s Balch Park. The closure is due to significant road damage caused by last winter’s storms. This closure affects Bear Creek Road and Balch Park Road in the Springville area.
