The Wapiti Campground, recently closed as a precaution during the Clearwater Fire, will reopen on Wednesday, August 14 at 8:00 a.m. The campground is located on the North Fork of the Shoshone River, next to the historic Wapiti Ranger Station. Note the Elk Fork Campground and Clearwater Campground remain closed until fire conditions allow.
