Final News Release August 22, 2022St John, WA - This is the final news release for the Wagner Road Fire.

The Wagner Road Fire is located 12 miles west of St. John, WA. This fire started on Thursday, August 18th and has burned approximately 7,381 acres of rangeland, stubble and standing wheat.
Evacuations: There is currently no evacuations levels in place for the fire.

Sunday, Fire Fighters patrolled for hot spots along the perimeter of the fire edge extinguishing the few hotspots that were discovered. This work brought the fire to 100% contained.

Monday, Northeast Incident Management Team Three will be returning control of the fire to the local fire district on 8/22/22 at 6:00 am.

Team Three thanks the community of St. John and the St. John School District for their assistance in the successful management of the Wagner Road Fire.
