Cause: Under Investigation
Texas A&M Forest Service dozers with the assistance of an engine strike team, Walker County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), Huntsville Fire Department, Crabbs Prairie Volunteer Fire Department (VFD), and Riverside VFD continued with mop-up operations and patrolling the perimeter. An infrared (IR) drone flight took place this evening to further pinpoint any remaining residual heat.
The Nelson Creek Fire will continue to be staffed tomorrow. Resources will resume mop-up operations and patrolling containment lines.
