Lolo National Forest Prescribed Fire Operations

UPDATE: This prescribed fire planned for today has been postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. The Second Chance unit received rain this morning.
Superior Ranger District: Yesterday, fire crews accomplished 25 acres of prescribed fire operations on the Second Chance unit, 8 miles east of Superior in the North Fork of Second Creek. Today, firefighters plan to finish up to 4 acres of prescribed burning on this unit, as weather and fuels conditions allow. Smoke may be visible from Superior.
