Clover Fire Update August 3, 2022

 Yesterday’s Operations:  Firefighters searched for spot fires that would have been the results of active fire behavior on Monday afternoon.  (Spot had been found on Monday late afternoon but were quickly suppressed.)  Firefighters didn’t find any additional spot fires.  Tuesday’s weather was not    favorable for active burning but much of the interior fuels continued to   smolder.

  Today’s Operations:  Firefighters will mainly be patrolling and monitoring the fire to ensure it stays within the constructed containment lines. Strategy:  The fire is currently being managed under a confine/contain    strategy  due  to fuel conditions, geographic location and values at risk.  The objective is to contain fire in the Middle Fork Warm Springs Creek drainage, utilizing fuel type changes, natural breaks and burnout operations. Weather:  Mostly sunny becoming partly cloudy.  Slight chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Temperatures between 68 and 73.  Wind blowing Northeast 3-5 mph and becoming Southwest 6-11 mph in the afternoon.  Gusts to 15 mph in the afternoon.
