CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER WATCH : RED FLAG WIND WARNINGS TODAY West Winds 10-15 increasing to 15-20 late afternoon, with gusts up to 30.

Fire

The Lowline wildfire is currently at 1,871 acres and 55% containment.

Smoke

We will see the same trends with smoke impacts in the area today. Light haze included in the local smoke. Smoke in the valley and areas of Gunnison and Central Gunnison County continue into early morning with MODERATE smoke impacts. Smoke will clear out by mid-day with increasing west winds in the area. Castleton Ranch area along County Road #730 area will continue to see periods of MODERATE smoke.

Impacts of light smoke in the early morning areas around Almont and HWY 135 clearing out early a.m. as west winds push smoke to the east. Crested Butte will continue to see GOOD air quality throughout the day.
