The fire burned at a high intensity in the timber leaving the trees charred.

This area of the fire has cooled down and a charred black landscape remains. The fire moved quickly through the grass and ground fuels and continued to push into the Ponderosa pine stand.

This is the southeast corner of the Cow Canyon fire from 8/7/2022. The flames on this section have been extinguished and cold black remains.

A stump hole smolders in the interior of the Cow Canyon fire.

Water tenders have assisted with providing water to engines as well as dust abatement on roads for safety.

The fire burned through a stand of Ponderosa pine trees. These trees were torched as the fire moved through with high intensity. The trees are now charred black and many of the remaining yellow pine needles will fall off.
