The Parks Fire about a half mile away from the Monument 83 Fire Lookout. Firefighters have prepared the lookout by wrapping the base with fire protective wrap.

The Kid Fire was about one quarter mile away from an airstrip and historic airstrip cabin as of yesterday Sep, 6, 2022. Smokejumpers are working to protect the cabin with sprinklers and hoselay and burning unburned brush around the cabin if safe.
