A Blackhawk helicopter using a bucket on a line below the aircraft flies in front of the smoke column from the Pipeline fire. Helicopters are used to drop large amounts of water in precise locations to slow spread, lower activity, or put out fires. They can scoop water out of any large body of water and will often use the closest one to refill as quickly as possible.
