Trees can often catch on fire underground, leading their roots to catch the center of the tree on fire, all the while not appearing on fire from the outside. This causes trees to fall with little to no warning. This tree was cut before it fell.
Sometimes on wildland fires, or other types of incidents, a safety or medical emergency happens within the incident. In Incident Management, these are called Incidents within an Incident (IWIs). Here, firefighters are conducting an IWI drill.
