TONASKET, Wash. August 7, 2023 –This will be the last update from Northwest Incident Management Team 7 for the Eagle Bluff Fire. A Type 4 incident management team will assume command of the fire at 6 a.m. on Tuesday August 8, 2023. For further inquiries related to the fire, please contact the Washington Department of Natural Resources. Acreage remains at 16,428 and containment is 80 percent. Crews continue to mop up, secure perimeters, and complete repairs around fire lines. The fire is west of Oroville, Wash.

TONASKET, Wash. August 6, 2023 –No growth occurred over the last twenty four hours and crews continue to secure lines, assess and complete repairs, analyze infrared data to verify completed work, and locate any remaining hot spots. The fire is now 70 percent contained. The fire footprint is on lands managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources and the Spokane District—Bureau of Land Management west of Oroville, Wash.

TONASKET, Wash. August 5, 2023 – Crews made significant progress yesterday afternoon and into the overnight hours increasing containment to 62 percent. The fire is now 16,428 acres burning on lands managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources and the Spokane District—Bureau of Land Management west of Oroville, Wash.

TONASKET, Wash. August 4, 2023 – The Eagle Bluff fire is now at 16,428 acres and is 45% contained. Management objectives continue to focus efforts on firefighter safety, public safety, protection of property, and preservation of cultural and natural resources values. The fire is burning on land managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources and the Spokane District—Bureau of Land Management west of Oroville, Wash.

TONASKET, Wash. August 3, 2023 – Crews have made significant progress in the last 24 hours limiting the growth of the Eagle Bluff Fire, increasing containment to 30 percent. The fire is now at 16,347 acres on the U.S. side of the border. The fire is burning just west of Oroville, Wash. on lands managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources and the Spokane District – Bureau of Land Management. The cause remains under investigation.
