Current Situation:  The Tiger Creek fire remains at 534 acres, containment has increased to 83%, and personnel assigned to the fire now stands at 270. Yesterday, spot fires were located to the southwest of Low Ridge. Firefighters assisted by air resources quickly mitigated all areas of concern. Firefighters remain vigilant in patrolling the fire line to ensure the fire is secure. While the fire remains in its current footprint, most of the work is now on mop up and backhaul of equipment.

Current Situation: The fire remains at 534 acres and containment has increased to 73 percent with 348 firefighting resources still assigned. Crews have achieved containment on the Low Creek Ridge portion of the fire in challenging steep, difficult terrain. Line construction is complete, and hose lays are being removed in areas of containment. Roads crews have repaired and improved Mill Creek Road as well as the bridge leading to the fire area. Road repair will continue up the 65 road to the fire over the next several days.

Important Message: For the second time in two days, a civilian drone entered the restricted airspace over the Tiger Creek Fire, forcing fire managers to halt aerial firefighting operations and once again cause a critical delay in wildfire suppression efforts.

Current Situation: The Tiger Creek fire is now at 534 acres. Acreage is calculated with on the ground mapping and infrared flights. Containment has grown to 23% with 468 personnel assigned to the incident. The fire remains in its current footprint while a full suppression strategy remains the top priority. Mop up and backhaul of equipment in contained areas is ongoing. Crews were able to secure the south end of the Tiger Creek drainage while Forest service road 65 was graded. The fire is now showing little smoke and firefighters are making great progress.

Current Situation:  Acreage has decreased to 532 acres with improved ground mapping on the Tiger Creek Fire and 19 percent containment has been achieved with 486 firefighting resources assigned. Full suppression of the fire remains the top priority of the crews operating on the fire.

Current Situation: The Tiger Creek Fire is currently 571 acres, and is 19 percent contained with 493 firefighting resources assigned. Crews continue to work toward full suppression of the fire.A community meeting was hosted last night at 6:30 p.m. at Walla Walla Fire District 4 Station 5. Current Situation: The Tiger Creek Fire is currently 573 acres, and is eleven percent contained with 484 firefighting resources assigned. Crews continue to work toward full suppression of the fire.  A community meeting will be hosted on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Walla Walla Fire District 4 Station 5. The fire station is located at, 6531 Mill Creek Road.

Current Situation: The Tiger Creek Fire is currently 593 acres, a reduction from yesterday’s total due to crew’s ability to obtain more ground points and get a more accurate read on its size. It is seven percent contained with 487 firefighting resources assigned. Crews continue to work toward full suppression of the fire.

Current Situation: The Tiger Creek Fire is currently 611 acres, seven percent contained with 341 firefighting resources assigned. Poor overnight relative humidity recoveries in the mid-elevations continue to plague firefighting efforts exacerbated by lower-than-normal relative humidity during the day. Aviation assets located a 50 x 50-foot spot fire east of the 65 road and were able to immediately drop water on it allowing crews the opportunity to contain it.
