Final Update as local Type 4 team takes command tomorrow at 8 a.m.

Bonanza, Ore.- The Oregon Department of Forestry Incident Management Team 2 is preparing a local Type 4 team to take command of the fire tomorrow. Today, fire lines continue to be secured and hoses and equipment are being removed. Fire activity remains within the current perimeter. Fire containment is now at 64%.
Last shift for night crews as firefighters look to transfer command Tuesday morning.

Containment grows to 27% as crews focus on mop up and residents begin to return to homes. Bonanza, OR – Firefighters continue mop-up operations as they achieve 27% containment and cool burnt areas 100 feet within the fire’s edge.
Winds will test holding lines tomorrow and Saturday. BONANZA, Ore. – Firefighters have done an outstanding job of keeping the fire in check. The winds and high temperatures expected on Friday and Saturday will test the existing holding lines. In the meantime, day and night shift crews will continue to gain depth in mop-up operations.
BONANZA, Ore. – Firefighters continue to make progress, making significant gains in extending mop-up efforts from 50-150 feet into the fire's perimeter. Fiber optic service has been restored in Lake County. Some services that rely on internet, like the 911 call center, may remain offline until the internal hardware is rebooted to restore full functionality. Internet lines south of Kingfisher Road are in place, and service will be restored as the power lines destroyed in the fire perimeter are repaired.
