Significant Events

Minimal
Creeping
Smoldering

The House Draw Fire exhibited Minimal fire behavior today as interior unburned fuels, primarily cottonwood trees in drainage bottoms, continue to consume. Low elevation fuels across the fire have consumed leaving minimal heat sources. Hot and dry conditions will increase the potential for new starts from suppression and repair activities.

Outlook
Planned Actions

Suppression repair.

Projected Incident Activity

12 hours: Sustained warm and dry conditions will persist keeping fuels moistures low and available to support active fire behavior. Interior pockets in timbered stands will continue to consume.

24 hours: A slight cooling trend will arrive over the fire area. This will reduce potential fire behavior on new starts while allowing continued consumption of interior unburned fuels.

Remarks

SW CIMT 5 is also managing the Remington, Flat Rock and Constitution Fires.

The last cooperator meeting will be held on Wednesday September 4th.
