Significant Events | Minimal The House Draw Fire exhibited Minimal fire behavior today as interior unburned fuels, primarily cottonwood trees in drainage bottoms, continue to consume. Low elevation fuels across the fire have consumed leaving minimal heat sources. Hot and dry conditions will increase the potential for new starts from suppression and repair activities.

SW CIMT 5 is also managing the Remington, Flat Rock and Constitution Fires. The last cooperator meeting will be held on Wednesday September 4th.

Weather Concerns | A weak cold front will move in, bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms near the House Draw Fire around through the early evening today, September 3rd, and then again in the morning tomorrow. The main concern with these storms will be wind gusts to 40 mph, frequent lightning, and very small hail. Tomorrow will be much cooler with daytime high temperatures in the upper 70s and higher minimum relative humdities near 35-45%. Winds will be light out of the northwest with sustained speeds around 6-11 mph |
