Current Weather
Weather Concerns

Friday (Synopsis): Partly cloudy skies gave way to afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the area. Winds were light and terrain driven at less than 10 mph. Above normal temperatures with highs in the lower 90s were observed while relative humidity dropped to the lower 20s range.

Saturday: Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are again expected to develop along higher terrain. Probability of any rain is around 70% with 40% chance of a wetting rain of 0.10 or more. Primary threat will be gusty outflow winds, cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy rainfall. Temperatures will not change muchwith highs in the upper80s and relative humidity in the mid 20 percent range in the afternoon.

Sunday through Thursday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms will developeach afternoon through much of the week as trapped monsoon moisture under a high pressure ridge remains over the region. Temperatures will remain abovenormal despite additional monsoon moisture rising to the upper 80s with relative humidity during the day in the 20s and only moderate recoveries at night between 40-50%. Overall winds will be diurnally driven in the absence of thunderstorm outflows at 10 mph or less.
