Current Weather
Weather Concerns

The ridge of high pressure continued to be the dominant feature over the fire on Thursday which caused temperatures to climb into the mid 80s to mid 90s. Afternoon humidity readings dropped into the low to mid teens as winds were mainly out of the northeast.

The ridge will continue to be the main player of the weather for one more day on Friday as conditions remain hot and dry. The atmosphere is anticipated to become quite unstable during the afternoon, this instability along with the hot and dry conditions will create critical fire weather conditions. A subtle disturbance will move across the area Friday night into Saturday bringing in some mid to high level clouds. The moisture will be fairly limited, but the area does have a 10% chance of a rain shower. The shower potential will extend into Sunday afternoon.
