The Bogus Lake fire was discovered late in the afternoon on October 8, 2024 just north of Bogus Lake within the Superior National Forest – Gunflint Ranger District. Superior National Forest and Minnesota DNR fire crews responded along with aircraft. The fire was active overnight to October 9. Today (10/9/24), firefighters and aircraft will be onsite to continue suppression efforts. Cause: unknown. Threats: none.
