The High Park Fire was reported at 4:16 p.m. May 12, 2022 and is burning in pinyon/juniper, ponderosa pine, and grassland on private and BLM lands approximately 5.5 miles west of Cripple Creek in Teller County, Colorado. It is approximately 25 miles north of the Canon City wild horse holding facility. BLM and Teller County are managing the fire as a full-suppression fire under Unified Command.
