7/29 Pine Peak Fire Update: Fire continues to smolder in the heavy fuels. Smoke may be visible from Yucca and Wikieup.

Current Fire Behavior – Due to the recent Thunderstorm activity and precipitation over the fire there has been no perimeter growth. Heavy downed logs due continue to smolder on the interior of the pine stringers.
Strategy - Due to the extremely remote and rugged terrain, this fire is in a confine /contain strategy. BLM Firefighters continue to monitor and recon the fire.
Weather Concerns – Forecast call for Scattered Thunderstorms though the weekend.
