Fuels Involved | Pine, grass and brush. Several years of persistent drought has much of northern Arizona in severe or extreme drought. Monsoonal moisture has moved in over the fire area bringing moist air. The fire area has received light precipitation and relative humidity has stayed above moisture of extinction for many days. This monsoonal moisture has given little relief to the drought but has conditioned the fuels to be not be conducive to surface spread. |
