 COLFAX COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE NEW RELEASEEffective at 11:30 A.M. on the Hermits Peak /Calf Canyon Fire, Colfax County Sheriff's Office in consultation with Colfax County Emergency Management is placing the following communities in READY Evacuation status:
TAOS, NM –May 11, 2022 –The Camino Real Ranger District of the Carson National Forest will close Thursday morning due to the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Fires. Forest visitors will need to vacate Forest Service lands within the district by 6:00  a.m., Thursday, May 12, when the closure begins.
