Updated Information on Evacuations and Road Closures

Minden, Nevada- Evacuations for the Topaz Ranch Estates and Topaz Lake are lifted at 2:00 p.m. today (July 25, 2021) and residence are allowed to return to their homes. Non-mandatory evacuations remain in place for the Holbrook Junction/Highlands area and Spring Valley areas.
Road closure- State Route 208 and Highway 395 to the California/Nevada Stateline south we be open at 12:30 pm today. Highway 395 north from State Route 208 to the current closure north of Leviathan Mine Road will remain closed due to Nevada Energy working around the clock to restore power poles and lines for service coupled with Fire personnel and equipment still working hard in this area.
We anticipate Highway 395 both North and South to be completely open on July 26, 2021 at 6:00 a.m. This is pending changes in weather or fire conditions.
