The Miners Complex consists of eight wildfires caused by lightning strikes in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The fires included in the complex are Miners Fire, Vista Ridge Fire, Dolly Creek Fire, Sulphur Three Fire, Sulphur Four Fire, Sulphur Thirty-Four Fire, Plummer, and Middle Ridge Fire.
Update: After the uptick in fire behavior last week, Monday and Tuesday brought relief to the fires with cooler temperatures, cloud cover, and higher relative humidities. Over the next few days, it is anticipated that cooler temperatures, high humidities and precipitation will continue to provide relief. Firefighter crews continue patrols of the Miners Complex along with accompanying rehab work.
Weather: Rain will continue throughout the morning in the area of the fire, transitioning to scattered showers in the afternoon. There is a slight chance of thunder, but the main focus for them will be well south of the incident. That said, it cannot be entirely ruled out. Any thunderstorms that develop will be short lived, with lightning and erratic winds as the main concerns. Expect cooler conditions and continued excellent relative humidity throughout the weekend and another chance at rain by the beginning of next week. The high temperature will be around 59°F, with 5mph winds becoming west in the afternoon.
