Location: 3 miles South of Springer Memorial Community, in the East Fork
Start Date: 7/25/2024 
Cause: Lightning
Size: 270 acres 
Resources on site: 4 Hand Crews, 2 Engines, 9 Heavy Equipment, 3 Water Tenders

CURRENT CONDITIONS AND WEATHER

Minimal growth was detected over the weekend, and the fire is still estimated at 270 acres. An un-manned aerial system (drone) is assigned to the incident to aid in mapping the fire perimeter, detecting heat, and performing reconnaissance.  Work continues to enhance existing fuel breaks and to improve contingency lines. Warm daytime temperatures and low relative humidity are expected today. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but wetting rain chances are low. Westerly winds are expected both afternoons gusting to 20 mph with outflow winds near thunderstorms reaching 40 mph.
