BLM Southwest District will conduct prescribed pile burning on the Tres Rios Field Office BLM-administered lands.
Pile burning will take place in the West Dolores Rim area located approx. 2.5 miles east of Egnar, CO and Highway 141, if conditions are favorable. Project area is 10 acres with 70 piles of pinyon pine and juniper debris that were removed to improve sage grouse habitat. The number of piles burned per a day will be based on smoke dispersal conditions. Smoke maybe visible from Hwy 141 and Egnar, CO.
