Tahoe National Forest's Yuba River Ranger District will prescribed burn up to 70 acres along Cruzon Grade Road on the San Juan Ridge near Malakoff Diggins State Park. Ignitions will begin Jan. 17 and possibly last through Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Smoke may be visible along some sections of Highways 20 and 49. Signs will be placed along Cruzon Grade Road notifying public of the prescribed burn.
