On Sunday, September 22, Firestone Fire was determined to be 90% contained and Flat Top Fire was 86% contained. At 6:00 p.m. command of the fires will be transferred from Northwest Complex Incident Management Team 3 to a Type 4 Incident Commander. No further updates to InciWeb for these fires are planned unless significant changes occur.

| Fuels Involved | Dense stands of ponderosa pine reproduction with brush and grass understory intermixed with higher elevation and slope oriented stands of mixed timber litter and understory. |
| Significant Events | Near Critical Fire Weather Conditions. Grasses, shrubs and flash fuels available to producing short runs of surface fire. Large logs, stumps, and snags near the fire perimeter will continue to consume and could be receptive to new fire.

Branch I A burn operation is planned in the coming days, on the south end of division Z to get fire edge to containment line. Complete primary and secondary indirect line construction. Mop up continues on all primary lines. Branch II Small burn planned on the north end of division L to bring fire edge to dozer line. Currently securing fire perimeter with mop up. Continue to protect critical values to the east to include Power Lines, grazing allotments. Provide IA support to local agencies.

| Weather Concerns | Temperatures for highs were in the low 70's with relative humidity values getting down to around 18-23% during the afternoon. Winds were mainly out of the north-northeast, around 5-8 mph with gusts 14-17 mph. |
