For the safety of forest visitors, Pyramid Lake, Los Alamos Campground, and Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area remain closed, and the evacuation order was executed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and California State Park. Road closures affect the South of Ralphs Ranch Road at Quail Lake Road by California Highway Patrol.

Firefighters face steep terrain and smoky conditions while battling on the southeast side of the wildfire. The cause remains under investigation. The weather forecast of hot dry gusty winds and red flag warnings is a big impact of this wind-driven fire. Temperatures are expected to increase later in the week and as we enter the weekend.

With the critical fire weather approaching, ensure you have and review your emergency plan gathering needed items to evacuate if needed. For more information visit Ready for Wildfire and Ready, Set, Go!
